Mostly for up & coming new HERBALIST & those who actually want to take the rest of their lives learning because to become an herbalist takes Commitment!
IT TAKES YEARS!
also I suggest those who are in need of herbal healing ask questions beyond what’s this supposed to do … ASK WHERE THEY GOT IT!
Did they grow it, did they spend hrs praying over this tiny seed , & plant to make sure it grew into a nice lush sustainable plant, or did they walk the woods for hours in quiet meditation listening & searching for the perfect plant to call out to them
Because if they can’t answer those questions with an astounding omg YES , then save your money & move along because what you’ll be getting is a cheap ass dollar store knock off at best, the herbs do their best at doing what lil healing they have left in them 😕 but your missing out on the ACTUAL HERBAL HEALING.

It’s a massive combination of energies !
It’s also why I DO NOT MAKE MEDICINE if I’m not well, I took actual YEARS off from making medicine because I was in need of healing myself! I’m just now getting enough energy back to put into the medicine I make !

Are there things that herbalist work with that they didn’t grow or wildcraft personally absolutely there is but there’s a unwritten rule amongst medicine women & men
You really need to strive at only outsourcing less than 10 % of your medicine bag & for most of us , that’s the alcohol & other limited ingredients we might need to process our medicine
Where as recently as 100-150 yrs ago that would have been 100% of what was in their medicine bag , they didn’t out source any ingredients
It’s why poultices , & smokes ,teas where so important to our native brothers & sisters. White man brought the “spirits” which transformed the herbal healers.
Speaking of “spirits” do you even know why you might use a rum over vodka or why certain herbs need certain alcohols ? Or that in no way shape or form is there such a thing as a alcohol free tincture 😆🤦
There are extracts …. Etc

There aren’t many regulations on herbal medicines ( but watch using that word even because the Rockefellers cornered that market and we see how well that’s working) 🥴
Most understand we do not want their dirty money controlling our healing energies, so we TOLERATE the wannabes … But at some point with the market getting flooded with cheap knock offs someone somewhere has to speak up!

& For those of you who just took a ego gut punch .. Who wants to call me an elitists or herb snob I really don’t GAF about what you think of me,
I know the strength of my medicine, I know my worth & my hope with this post is to weed out the wannabes so if this post really bothers who perhaps you should do some inner searching & find out why!

There are those born a medicine woman or man , & there are those who can learn both hold value & each has its place. It has taken me almost 60 yrs of trial & error
So many many many dark nights of the soul, so many sick days & nights,
Years of pain & sorrow, & so many losses to even begin to reach a level where I would dare call myself a medicine woman , an Herbalist!
But I’ve earned that title & even I learn something new every damn day !
I was born the crone! But even I had to grow into her skin , no one escapes the maiden & the mother stages ! Women especially need to honor their elders we need tribes women to teach our daughters & granddaughters !
In the past ( you know before the internet) it took us women YEARS to gain the courage to dare call ourselves herbalist let alone medicine women !
Show just a lil respect to your elders ! & They will bless you with some wisdom & knowledge you’ll never ever be able to gain “online” thru a quick lil blog post or even yr long school.

We are out here ! We are willing to teach you ! But…… You have got to be willing to learn to walk before you’re allowed to run!
We are Fading …. & We do NOT want our Magick lost !

I can go thru my friends list , I can hop into a herbal group & there will be 1000s who call themselves herbalist & when we walk in the room we are met with young know it all’s & down very lil respect for the actual art of making medicine!
But within those 1000s we SEE the real medicine women quietly listening & learning in the back ground, we SEE YOU! we FEEL YOU !
we are calling out to you ! We see your worth! & We NEED you !
It is YOU… yes you ! The one who sees themselves as unworthy of that title!!! You , my dear were chosen not by self but by spirit! & It is you whom we choose to pass our real knowledge & wisdom on to
